RCC HOUSING AND INSPECTION CHAMBER
An housing/inspection chamber is used to facilitate cleaning of sewer pipe from chamber to street manhole as well as to accommodate change of alignment of sewer pipe coming out from property. Inspection chambers are access points to underground pipework which allow maintenance and the removal of blockages. They are situated along the length of the drainage system and are most typically found at key intersections, such as where: a branch drain joins the system’s main drainage pipe. A chamber should be used whenever there is a change of direction of more than 30 degrees and whenever two pipes come together in a junction of more than 45 degrees.
